Why does my power brick sound like a harrier jet?

I'm finding a new problem everyday with the XO whether it's hardware or software, there's always something. Got no idea why my power brick is so loud all of a sudden but it's really annoying. I paid £429 for everything a while ago, it shouldn't sound like
this. Any fix?

Sounds like the power brick is dead since you mention the "green dot": the console itself has no such thing but the brick does.

Unfortunately, the only option is to send your current one away (at your own expense, unless something has changed) and wait for a replacement.

It seems that Microsoft's accessory return policy has changed!

(or they've messed up)

I've just put through my own PSU replacement order, as I'm fed up with the noise from my replacement PSU, and instead of telling me I have to ship it to Prague at my own expense, I have instead been emailed a link for a pre-paid UPS Returns label for shipping
it to Germany

One suggestion that I have other than to send it out for repair would be to make sure your power supply has sufficient room to cool itself. You should place your power supply in a location that is free of dust and other debris that may be sucked into the
fans. Also avoid placing your power supply near other electronics that may get warm.

Yeah, probably. The F-35 is supposed to replace the Harrier jump jet (although hasn't entered service yet). The Harriers were designed to be ground attack fighters and not supposed to be used against super-sonic jets like the Flanker. Maybe it's the same
for the F-35?

That's why it seems slower and less maneouverable.

I remember "Soul Calibur" on the Dreamcast.

That game made my Dreamcast sound like a Harrier Jump Jet on a Vertical takeoff.

You get used to it after a while.

My XBox isn't noisy with discs though.
