Why does my mincraftv launcher default to the wrong email.

Have you tried signing out/in from MS store? Kindly also delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes then try checking the launcher again.

Ok so I've restarted my computer multiple times. Minecraft isn't even installed to be able to reinstall, though I have tried redownloading the launcher application a few times. Like described in my original message, when I try and run the installer, I've made sure to switch from my default email to my game email in the store. I also tried resetting my Microsoft store. This sets my email back to default, so I switch it to my game email again yet it continues to not work.

I just tried signing out then back in, that didn't work.

The Minecraft store also freezes upon me clicking install when I try and download it from there.

I was able to download the launcher for Windows 7/8, but that launcher version does not allow me to install Bedrock.

I'd appreciate some more insight into what might be my issue.

Hmmm, OK, let me clarify for a second: do you have two separate accounts, or just this one account, that is still defaulting to that old email. If it's the later case, which email does the console show you as your MSA, the right one or the wrong one? Also,
what does it show you as the alternate email under your proofs?

When I logon to TL Launcher which is a cracked launcher I can log in with my Microsoft account and use my Mojang skin... Thats whats confusing me and yes I know its a cracked launcher but why does it pick up all my details of my MC account when I log in with this account but when I use the official launcher it says I dont own the game at all.

what does Restore to factory defaults do? does it delete my cache or my download history?

also all this disconnecting might have started when i added another proof to my account. i kept getting pop ups on my xbox to do so and i couldnt goin to my email untill i did. could that be why i heep disconnecting every few minutes?
