why does my mic keep cutting in and out in some games?

Hey my names Bass just was wondering if i could get some help on fixing my mic issues.

So for about a year i have bean playing gta/fivem and latley my mic has bean cutting and in and out in game but every time i am using discord or any other app my mic works fine and clean.

and it seems this is the only game it happens to or maybe other games havent really tested.

I have tried updating drivers and troubleshooting drivers i have went through and set devices as default and all that nonsense and none of it seems to work i have uninstalled unused apps that might have caused the issue but still nothing is working out.

i also have tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it completely which has not seemed to work.

i also tested this with my other mics all my other mics cut in and out in game but in other apps and things on my pc it runs fine and works fine and all drivers are updated.

SO is there anything i can do to fix this i have bean having this issue for a year now and havent fixed it.

also to mention i have reached out to the support for the game and they have said it has nothing to do with there part so its something on my pc that is causing the issue i just cant find it without help which is hard to find for this rare issue.

If you haven’t used the related feature, you should ignore it for now. This feature should be in the next software provided by Nvidia. If the problem is caused by third-party software, you can gradually enable these software and check if there are any problems.

If the problem is caused by conflicts with some third-party software, you can try to perform a clean boot to see if the problem still exists in the clean boot system. A clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or program is interfering or causing a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

At the same time, I suggest you check whether there is a bottleneck in your CPU or similar devices, which may also cause similar problems. Also, if you are using an Nvidia graphics card, check whether you have turned on functions like sound card noise reduction, and then try to limit the game frame rate to 60 to see if the problem still occurs.

ok i did a clean boot then limited my gta to 60 frames but what do you mean by sound card noise reduction how would i do that?

Also how would i know when doing the cleanboot if there is any third party apps that are interfering with the game?

Do BT home hubs have Firmware updates? You could check out their support page but only if you know what you're doing, messing up a firmware can be fatal.

I used to experience such issues earlier as well. IMO, you'd be better off connecting an Ethernet cable to your Xbox and that should supposedly have everything sorted out.
