Why does my mic have backgound static and sound like its blown speaker

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

For cases like this steps that we have to perform is try to use a different controller if there is an available one. If there isn't please check if there is an update available for the controller that you're currently using. Please follow the steps below:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & streaming > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update.

2. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

3. If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided.

I found the problem, that is i put the mic near the outer speaker, and even the audio is switched to my headphone, the static is still coming out from the speaker and thats why it created the issue. I distanced the mic from speaker and the issue is gone.

Not to revive a "dead" post but id just like to say that static your hearing sound more like a small cricket in the speakers and has its own little pattern

Mic level seems ok it the sound coming out friends say its like I'm on a speaker phone any idea?

It's like it used to record from the mic and from the audio sent to the headset and audio sent to the speakers but now its the mic and only the audio output selected in the sound setting in the system tray on the windows task bar.
