Why Does My Game Keep Crashing????!!!

i play fortnite pretty regularly , and turn off my xbox when its not being used, but Every Single Day when i try to play the game it loads fine , i log in fine , but right when i jump from the battle bus my game freezes makes a very loud buzzing noise &
then closes the game. every day, multiple times a day. and each time it happens , i refresh the home screen. and do a full shut down. (hold the button for 10ish seconds , unplug for a few minutes, then plug back in)

some days itll work for a few hours after that , and some days it doesnt work no matter how many times i try , no matter how many times i delete and reinstall, i’ve let it sit unplugged for hours and i’ll come back just to find out it
still doesnt work.

and it isnt fortnite , because no one else is having this problem. yeah , games crash sometimes thats expected. but this happens every day. please if anyone knows whats wrong or how to fix , that would be great. but PS4 is looking better & better at the
moment.

Hi doug,

You could try an
offline update instead. This will update the console offline. Sometimes updates glitch or become corrupt. This will be next step if the factory reset doesn't work.

Hi there,

is your console set to Instant-On if so please try to set it to Energy-Safe mode to see if that makes any difference.

It will fully turn off each time when powered down, so boot time will be a bit longer, but it's good to know if it helps (or not)

Another thing to try would be to try a factory reset (with keeping games and apps installed) to see if that helps anything.

It sounds like it could be a connection issue, I've had the same problem with some games and had to end up reinstalling the games. But more and likely what's causing it is there might be a file that is corrupt that's making the game force crash.

yeah , ive already set mine to energy-saving a while back before the problem even started. but i suppose i could maybe try to do another factory reset & see if it helps this time.

i just dont see this happening in Fortnite Community help pages. no one is complaining about it there , but i see a lot of people experiencing the same things as me on the Microsoft Community question thing , except they have it happen to them on different
games.. so i really dont think its Fortnite thats an issue. but, yeah, i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, ive tried a few timee and sadly, no success. i guess it cant hurt to try deleting and downloading the game.. again.
