Why does my elite series 2 controller suddenly and randomly change direction

I have tried all the things you suggested, including contacting support. Since my issue is with a controller, they don't have an option for me to talk with someone, including in chat. As for power cycling my controller, I mentioned in my OP that I tried that already without success. And as for power cycling my console and wifi connection, they have both been on and off several times since this issue has started. Thank you for your reply, but as you mentioned, this isn't really the place to ask this question. I only did so because the Xbox support bot told me this is where I should post since they won't let me talk with someone.

I understand that you are having problems with your Elite Series 2 controller, I will leave you some tips that you have not tried to solve your problem.

Restart your controller: Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the controller turns off, then unplug the power cord and wait 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turning on the controller

Erase persistent storage: Go to System > Settings > Devices and streaming > Blu-ray > Persistent storage > Erase three times > Restart console

Check the Internet connection: Make sure that your Xbox is properly connected to the Internet and that the speed of your connection is sufficient to play online (It is of utmost importance that you have a good Internet connection)

As for the missing spare parts, you can try contacting Microsoft support to inform them of the problem

Really the only thing you can do and what is recommended is that you
continue insisting with the Xbox team, explaining the situation in detail
since they are the only ones who can help you because they do have access to
the accounts and can see what possibly happened. . This forum is really not the
most appropriate medium to discuss your topic, especially since we as players do
do not have the tools to help you as it is a sensitive privacy and security issue.

I got a similar issue going on with my elite series 2, it randomly opens the share tab of the guide menu, even when not even touching the controller. It just does it completely on its own at random intervals....

I have had the same issue with like 3 of these Controllers and the A button was messed on first controller but why can i not use my Elite series 2 that costed more then the Price of Gold on Trigger Setting 3 it wont acknowledge the triggers being clicked
only on setting 3 tightest triggers setting i mean damn i paid 230$ Canadian for this thing and had nothing but problems with it please help how do i get brand new elite series 2 triggers to actually work on setting 3 this is False Advertisement and a Lawsuit
is in order here. .... second elite 2 i had and just replaced kept randomly disconnecting also..

I like the little changes to it, the share button is nice. But I will be using my Elite Series 2 Controller when the Xbox Series X comes out.
