    Why does my downloaded game say "this disc is unreadable"?


    So just yesterday I bought Gta V and and I put it to download, when it completed I got into it and it started downloading some installment packs after the first one downloaded (installment pack number 4) my internet shut down, so when I reconnected it and
    got back into the game it said "this disc is unreadable" and since than I can't get into it at all its extremely frustrating and nothing seems to work, is there any way to fix this or any way I can get my money back?

    The reason it seems to be working when playing from the disc is that your xbox hasn't had any reason to access the data in the damaged part of the disc yet. When it does need to you will get a disc unreadable error or the game will freeze.

    When installing it needs to access the whole disc which is why it always fails.

    And to answer your question it will say disc unreadable at some point when the game needs to access the damaged part of the disc.

    As you've already tried one of those disc repair services then your best option is to get a new disc.

    My game after I downloaded it

    I have downloaded Fallout: New Vegas at least three times and when I try to play it it tells me that my disc is dirty or unreadable. Why does it do this with a download? There is no disc.

    This is a game downloaded from Xbox Marketplace, not a disc.

    That's why I'm curious about the "Disc is Unreadable" error, when there isn't a disc involved.
