    Why does my 360 dashboard say “Play Xbox one”. Arggg what does it all mean?


    On my 360 there is something that appears in the dashboard somewhere and says “play on xbox one”. Please fill me in I am newly back after a 4 year sabatical.

    Clear as mud?

    Have an game card as a gift that's labeled XBOX 360 and a box on the card that says it "Plays On XBOX ONE." Doesn't say anywhere it does not play on 360, so when I tried to load it to my 360 no joy. It does show in my account as an Xbox One pending download.
    What gives with that labeling? Why bother to put Xbox 360 on anything that doesn't run on Xbox 360? Can't find anything on the card that says it will not run on 360. Can I exchange the game for the 360 version, please?

    Hi,

    Several hundred Xbox 360 games can now be played on the Xbox One - even using the original discs. This is likely what this was referring to.

    Hello - I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to, as the Xbox 360 Dashboard is only available on Xbox 360 consoles. It does not run on PCs. Can you clarify what you mean? Thanks :)
