    why does my 360 console controller ring flash red and wired controllers will not connect


    is there a fix for the wired controllers not syncing in and the controller ring on the console flashes red?

    Missing / wanted features

    My controller light flashes slowly when it can't communicate with the console. When I carry the controller too far away from the console for example.

    The play and charge function works differently on the X1.

    On the 360, the cable only passes power to the battery, so the controller still communicates with the console wirelessly.

    On the X1, the USB cable turns it into a wired controller, so that should explain the reconnect, as the controller switches from wired comms to wireless.

    Controllers won't connect to Xbox 360 S

    I have an Xbox 360 S and I can't get any of my controllers to connect to it. I have three wireless controllers and one wired controller. I've tried re-syncing my wired controllers to the console and they still would not connect, I tried plugging them in
    with the play & charge kit and they still would not connect. I also tried using my wired controller and it would not connect either.

    Wired controllers come with the cable plugged for Xbox 360 controllers

    Are you pressing the Sync button on the controller and the console? Does the controller and the console Xbox button flashes when you press it?

    My XBox has been having a lot of problems lately.

    The freezing means (most of the time) that your console is going to Red Ring. The connection issues could have many variables. What controller do you have? Wireless or Wired?

    Wireless Controller will not connect.

    I'm afraid my controller still is not connecting I have not yet been able to try connecting to a friends console. I own two controllers so i've turned the working one off so no lights are displayed. I then turn on the controler that is not working and press
    the connect buttons on both the console and the controller. They both do the whole rotating lights then flash twice and all rings on the console are off while the controller lights keep flashing.

    While the controller is flashing, press the sync button on both the controller and console to re-sync the connection. Try this while the controller is wired to the console with a USB cord.
