    Why does Microsoft say my warranty is expired on my controller when it's not


    I purchased my XBox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 on 11/22/19. The Microsoft website says the warranties on these controllers was extended to a full year due to known issues; however, when I search the serial number it states that it's no longer under
    warranty. It has not been a year. I purchased it 11/22/19 and activated it 11/28/19.

    The website navigation does not allow me to communicate with a human and I'm very frustrated. Can anyone help?

    Okay. So why does it say “Microsoft Limited Warranty 1 years” under it when I check my controller under registered devices, which is listed separately by the way? And why doesn’t the expiration say it expired 30/90 days after the purchase?

    Is it just because it’s automated and it’s essentially wrong information?

    Okay, I chatted with support over the computer about my warranty, it expired and now my LB button broke off as well. So I have a few questions.

    Where can I send my elite xbox one wireless controller to if I'm willing to pay for repairs?

    Why does microsoft not provide a option to buy an extended warranty for accessories or provide longer warranties for items over $100 dollars such as my controller which was $149.99?

    Why paint plastic parts metallic if the parts are going to break so easily? It seems to me if it's called Elite, it should be more durable.

    No, the "month -9" does not mean that the warranty has been used for 9 months. It means that there are 9 months left until the warranty expires.

    In your case, the warranty on your Xbox controller ends on January 6, 2024. Since today is July 6, 2023, there are 9 months left until the warranty expires.

    Microsoft's limited warranty for Xbox controllers is 1 year, so your controller is still within the warranty period.

    Its elite 2 controller i sent it to Microsoft repair center under warranty its had warranty tell 2025 after it got repaired the warranty just expired how does that happen

    Hi Gamer

    I had a similar issue with my standard Xbox One controller

    Once I identified the issue, I booked a service/repair and my controller was collected, tested and Microsoft sent me a new one straight away.

    Take note, my controller was still under warranty.

    I would suggest replacing it as soon as possible before your warranty expires if the solutions mentioned in the thread does not solve your problems
