    Why does HITMAN™ for Xbox One has to update every time I sneeze?


    HITMAN™ for Xbox One released on 2016 seems like a great game, and I got it when it was on Games with Gold. I tend to download every game I have access to, to avoid spending several hours downloading a game that I'll just be able to play like 2 hours a day.

    The thing is, since I downloaded HITMAN™ for Xbox One released on 2016 I keep noticing that this specific game (alongside other Hitman games I have) keep having new updates to download. I decide tu update it, and a few days later, the game has to be updated
    again. If I have to guess, perhaps this game gets updated like 1-3 times per week.

    I'm all in on updating my games, however, every time I try to look for a changelog on recent updates of this game, there's no information about it.
    Just some posts from 2012 I think, but nothing about recent updates for HITMAN™ for Xbox One released on 2016.

    Why does this game gets updated too frequently, and with updates that each of them are around 1-5 GB?

    (I just decided to uninstall it a few weeks ago, and oddly enough, no hitman games have received new updates since I uninstalled it, I don't understand why this game gets updates way too frequently)

    Have you considered consulting IO Interactive for insight on the multiple updates?

    In my search, I found several to be DLC releases or seasonal updates.

    I get the updates for it and I don't even have it installed yet. I have it paused in queue at 0%. I am not sure why it is doing that.

    have you checked to see if it still happens after a reinstall? i have hitman and hitman 2 and they receive updates but not 3 times a week.

    updates can be frustrating i know but they are to make sure bugs are ironed out and for when new content is added.

    the game developers and xbox want to make sure the players are getting the best possible experience, this includes in game security and behind the screen stuff.

    The best guess I can think of is it needed an additional update after you downloaded it, but it failed to actually complete the update each time, so it just tried over and over. You could always just try reinstalling it, or power cycle your console to
    see if it fixes it.
