Why does grand theft auto V show up twice everywhere?

two xboxes have two copies of it, wasting double the space, i have uninstalled both fully restarted, etc they show up as ready to install the same exact game 69gb same icon, both want installed again.

what gives? Is this just a GTAV bug? Which one do i launch? Can I safely uninstall one and hide it and the game still function ok?

FYI the xbox one X is the home account two both of my gold accounts (only one owns GTAV) The xbox one S is home to no account so the right one has to be signed in for the game it owns to play.

I had this same problem forever with san andreas at the same time as GTAV, for some reason it did the same thing months ago when i tried to fix it also, had two san andreas games listed (exactly the same game) for some reason going back now and removing
both did the trick on both xboxes and only one was ready to be redownloaded. Maybe they fixed this one, i think its a store issue or something but i just wanted to see if many people were having the same issue remaining with GTAV

I think it's a store bug indeed, can you run the game even if only one of them is downloaded?

Hello this is def a store bug. Just download one and it will restore your cloud saves as normal.

That’s a xbox store glitch it has happended to me plenty of time no need to be alarmed

i have had it, both were the same game but different versions which was annoying as i installed the wrong one and had to re download the other to play online with a friend.

I have the same issue with Rocket League, it's just a bug. There aren't two of the same game, it's just a visual glitch.
