Why does everything break so easily?

Why is it that Xbox and all of it's accessories break so freakin easily?? I have 4 controllers that are less than a year old, three of them already have buttons that don't register when you press them. I don't throw my controllers and I don't abuse them,
yet they break. My power supply cable broke too. The fan stopped working in it and it would overheat so I had to replace it. And of course it happened to break a month after my warranty expired. Luckily I have not experienced the Red Ring of Death yet, but
I have a feeling it's coming soon. If all that isn't annoying enough, Xbox Live keeps having problems. I thought it was my internet connection but it's not. Everything in the house works great with the internet, except the Xbox. Either it has connection problems
or lag problems or all problems. Why is it that my 35 year old NES still works great and I have never had anything break on it, yet the Xbox, which is barely 2 years old keeps having problems and breaking????? Or my Nintendo 64, also about 20 years old, yet
works fantastically. I have come to the conclusion that Microsoft and Xbox are the perfect example of Capitalism, because I have spent more money replacing and repairing broken items than I spent on buying the originals. So thank you Microsoft and thank you
Xbox I think I'm going to switch over to Play Station or better yet, the Wii. The Japanese might be Capitalists as well, but at least their products last longer than a year.

broken online gaming... they can't even fix it with their own recent patches.

Whenever something is patched, it breaks lines of code for working functions. Hence why there is never a "Final Patch" which fixes everything.

 

New update breaks... everything

Yes, my Xbox 360 S doesn't seem to like playing GRAW 2 after the update, no matter whether it's offline or online, it freezes and lags to heck. Try clearing your Xbox's cache and then re-downloading the update by deleting it first. To clear your cache,
it's X, X, LB, RB, X, X and then Yes. I'm not sure about how to delete system updates, but I know it's possible and support will definitely tell you how.

 

You must be harder on your controllers than you think, as I still have my controllers from a launch 360 (over 8 years old FYI) which still work fine as well as all others I bought later. I have never had a controller break and I game on a nearly daily basis.
The only thing which has failed were a few of the Play and Charge packs which I neglected to keep charged, which is more the fault of me than the product itself.
