Why does Everspace 2 keep installing itself ?

It's possible that the game is being automatically installed due to a setting in your Game Pass or Windows Store account. To prevent this from happening, you can try the following steps:

1. Open the Microsoft Store app on your PC.

2. Click on the three dots in the top right corner or click your profile and select "Settings".

3. Under "App updates", turn off the toggle switch for "Update apps automatically".

4. Under "App permissions", turn off the toggle switch for "Automatically download updates, even over metered data connections".

5. Restart your PC and check if the issue persists.



If the issue still persists, you can try clearing Microsoft store cache and resetting the app. To do this, follow the steps below:

Reset Microsoft Store

• Press Win + I to open the Settings app, and click on Apps.
  
• Click on Apps & features, scroll down to Microsoft Store and click on app settings (three dots).
  
• Select Advanced options.
  
• Click on Reset.
  

Clear the Microsoft Store cache:

• Press Windows key + R and type wsreset.exe then hit enter.
  
• An empty Command prompt will pop open. Let it be for a few seconds and the command line will close automatically (after it has cleared the cache behind the background) and Microsoft Store will be launched in its place.

Ah, ok.I was thinking that there had to be a problem with the game on the XBox app itself. I was looking somewhere on the app I could report the problem, of course the isn't one. I just went and bought Everspace on GOG on sale eventually.

HDMI Has a Handshake when it is in use - That is why the console is restarting.

If you were to take the HDMI out of the XBOX while it was running it would reset to search for a new video source.

can you use PIP instead of changing sources?

Hi, can you check your guitar hero controller? the guide button may be being pressed constantly or the batteries could be going flat, take the batteries out of the guitar controller and see if the issue persists.
