Usually when installed there's very little disc accessing beyond it being there as proof of owning the game.

In most cases it saves on wear and tear, and increases loading times and such.

Skyrim is an odd one where these things are debatable.

When Skyrim released, the industry was trying a new disc compression process, and it was rumored to still use the disc more even when installed. I don't know the full specs of the matter, but this is why Skyrim only comes up as under 4GB installed, when
other games of the like average over 6GB.

There's also been much debate on how installing Skyrim or not effects the graphic texturing.

Do you own the game on disc or digital? If it's disc, then that will be why the game does not show in your library on PC, as you need to own the digital version for that to show up in your PC library.

Why does everytime I start the game it asks me to install/download the Compatibility Pack? I've already installed all the 2nd disc and installed/downloaded the Compatibility Pack when I first put vanilla disc in. Yet everytime I play the game it prompts
me to do it afain!

As a former Playstation Fanboy who owned every playstation, I owned the PS2 Fat and it had a similar disc drive to the 360. The disc will be fine, as long as you don't move the console.

It was designed that way. Imagine if you had to remove the disc everytime you stopped playing. What an inconvenience that would be huh?

I cancled my gamepass subscription, now i cannot play the games i own, any game that was on gamepass (IE: Minecraft, skyrim, halo MCC, fallout 76) will no longer work on my xbox EVEN if i have the physical disc inside the xbox, i have 100% confirmed the disc work and i have confirmed my disc drive 100% works, everytime i click on it, it tells me i dont own the game and i to need to buy it... i just want to play the video games i paid for
