Why do you think it took so long for updates to arrive?

Me an my bro are xbox fans but...... since nov 22nd we have been annoyed with the whole xbox experience...

Hard to play online games/ party chat... (biggest an most wide spread issue)

Soooo new update as of march is coming.... why did it take so long to fix something that i paid 500 for that was pretty much a down grade from the 360 online experience?

Me an my brother always joke about how long it took to come out with this system an when they finally do you got billy bob ( or whatever mouth breather put this thing together) in the background yelling " WELL ..... WILL SEE IF IT WORKS"

just wanted to read some of your thoughts an maybe frustrations that you have about the amazing Xbox one

The new update seems to have solved the bandwidth problem
You will notice now the quality dipping of the video instead of just cutting out.
Why oh why it's took them this long is beyond me

Yes!!! Thankyou. It is working and from what Microsoft told we had to wait for system update before the title update for the IE app would work. Thats why it took so long. And another issue....just kidding. Thanks again.

 

I havent played mine much partly do to the fact that when I was in the dashboard and moving about you would hear a "pop/crackle" sound of distortion that couldnt be fixed with a)new speakers b)different settings so I had an rma in the system for the last
8 weeks waiting for this update to see if it fixed the problem...guess what it did Now setting to bitstream and dolby digital I hear no "pop/crackle". Thank god for updates, i wasn't looking forward to that expensive piece of technology to be going around
in the mail system. I dont care really why it took so long...just glad its starting to look better...my sound problem wasnt hardware related...no rma, no erasing my hdd of 8 games and all season passes...woohoo.

 

In truth, we'll probably never know OP. Have you tried asking MS first?

 

Maybe because console got 6-8 years lifetime.

Maybe because tools gets better over time.

Maybe because Xbox one is not just an upgraded version of Xbox 360,but a brand new system.

 

It didn't take long at all in my opinion, and they are already working on the next one. Complain much?

 

You think 3 months is "Taking too long"? Can we see your completely revised dashboard system on your $500 all-in-one entertainment device? I swear people think things like this can be thrown together. If you want a quality product it takes time to develop,
test and implement. Even with 1000s of members on the xbox team, an update of this magnitude could have taken twice as long. You should be grateful at how much work the team has put into this device.

 

One can either pump one update after another without fixing anything (i.e. think EA and BF4) or you can do it right and get an update out when it's correct and ready.

Which do you prefer OP?

 

The 360 of today is very different from the 360 of yesteryear. In time, it'll reach feature parity and then some. As always, if it's current incarnation is not to your liking, one can always wait on purchasing it until your satisfied with the feature set
or there is a game you absolutely must play.

Yeh but they are saying that most will be small updates growling. I also don't think it's taken to long. While there have been a few issues, it hasn't been anything that has caused me any problems. Is there room for improvements? If course. But the same
can be said for any product!

 

Yes I only had minor issues they will get there I am happy with what as been done

 

and this is our 3rd update correct? so one a month.... complain much OP?
