Why do xbox updates take so long when they never add or fix anything?

They never tell us why we need an update or what's even in them. It hijacks into the process on startup and can take an hour or more to complete even with fast internet.

Why? As far as i can tell they haven't actually done anything to this ugly, frustrating interface in years and yet they're lazy enough to use it for two complete console generations? Just, why?

Updates usually on average take about 15 minutes to install, depending on your internet connection. To find out what's new with the update, you can check using the what's new option in the updates section in settings.

Hi, @seahorsesforevr, it should take around 15-20 minutes depending on internet speed. And they fix bugs and any other issues with Xbox. I believe you can find out what's in the update that was new it's in the option in the update section in the settings.

New updates never bother me. As long as they add and dont take away.

Okay i underatand that and yea i submitted 2 case reviews. The last guy i talked to he told me not to submit anymore because it might take longer but is there anything i can do because i bought the xbox series x but i might return it because i dont have
my main account
