Why do we have this new "Achievements" tab in the sidebar thing? Who designs this UX ...

Seriously? why do you have to put a tab for achievements in the sidebar? we already get notifications for every little achievement, we can even see all of them when we go to our profile and look at the achievements tab...what purpose does it really serve?
The only purpose i can see is for idiots who don't know what the hell they are doing and are too dense to scroll further down to the notifications tab.

We need access to our followers without opening our profile, scrolling over to friends and games and then selecting followers...*** in the sidebar you can select friends, recent player s and suggested friends, but not followers.

Seriously who is the user experience and interface designer? have they ever played a game or do they actually use the xbox one console and see how redundant and idiotic they are making it? The oneguide is fairly well useless as well...no real customization
possible. This is all about as logical as a republican debate.

Anyone else HATE the new "guide" system?

I have no problem with the design of the UI - I rather like it, but, I've said this before, it is extremely slow.

People appear to have different experience of the UI in terms of performance, hence I have to conclude it's related to network issues (maybe to do with proximity/MS configuration regarding nearest MS' UI servicing servers).

Achievements are implemented into the guide so people who are trying to get a certain achievement have easier access to it, instead of having to search for the app,snapping it and closing out of it again afterwards , you can now quickly look at it.

It's not because you find that a feature is obsolete that others think it is. New features are added because the community has requested it after which it goes into the preview program to get tested.

If you want the features you suggested to possibly be implemented in the future then feel free to search for them on the feedback website and vote for it or create your own post.

This specific feature was added because of direct community feedback; it was even tweaked during the preview period for this update. It serves a different purpose to the notifications, which show achievements already unlocked while opening the guide tab
is more likely to be for tracking an achievement before it is unlocked.

As Feared says, if you want to see an easier way to see followers, then go ahead and use the Xbox Feedback site to suggest it and you might see it implemented in a future update.

And for what it's worth, the head of the platform engineering team is Mike Ybarra. And yes, he plays games. Lots of them.
