Why do the Xbox One Games for Gold suck so badly?

Obviously not everyone searches the forums, so these threads are gonna pop up whether you want them to or not. Really not difficult to ignore. I have never understood why people respond or even open threads in the first place if they're so irritated by
them. Plenty of threads on here i have no interest in, so I and probably many others do what any logical person would do - ignore them.

Well, the OP is stating his opinion (in this case) on the Games with Gold Program. I disagree with these sentiments so I'm stating my opinion. This is called a "discussion". Not every one agrees with things and I fail to see how it's a problem to say
that you disagree.

If you want to see a lovely discussion, look at anything in regards to the game, Destiny. Holy cow. You'll find opinions all over the board about that game.

Please point out where I said i had no interest in this thread. Rather than trying to act the smart *** at least read what you're responding to and stick to what was said rather than twist what people are saying. I don't mind getting called out when I
do contradict myself or I am in the wrong as I'm big enough and ugly enough to hold my hand up, but I'm struggling to see where the contradiction is here.

Yeah, that's a game and topic i really do have no interest in, so I let those threads pass me by.

 

Personally, I haven't liked some of the games offered. But I don't go and throw a pitty party in the forums about it, to try and get a wine fest started.

With that said, I also acknowledge that while I may be underwhelmed, there are others that actually like or love the games I disregard. That is why, for every one of these threads that are created I will be right here to drop a logic bomb.

What one may call garbage, it is another's treasure.

Stop condoning wining about free games. How many threads have a "Holy crap, This game with Gold is amazing!"

 

never alone, rogue legacy, spelunky, thomas was alone, contrast, towerfall ascension, road not taken, dust: an elysian tail, secret ponchos, hotline miami, transistor, velocity 2x, tower of guns, aaru's awakening, the binding of issac: rebirth, apotheon,
don't starve, pix the cat, the swapper...these are just a few of the games that ps4 has gotten with plus, all of them are games made by smaller companies doing their own thing, or indie games, that fall far outside the norm of "Hardcore" gamers that only accept
games with 3's or 6's at the end of their titles...and guess what, most all of them are pretty *** good. good enough that microsoft and sony are trying to push out into the public eye so they can get the recognition they deserve.

i'm not saying that you need to play only indie games, far from it, but while you're downloading the next 2-6 gig update or dlc for call of duty or assassins creed, maybe play a little bit of child of light or something and expand your currently very narrow
horizons.

 

I like to comment on these threads so the OP can see that some of us do enjoy at least a few of the titles, obviously not all because as they say, you can't please everyone.

Also as some of the others have said, you might play something you never knew you would enjoy. Strike Suit Zero reminded me how much I love those flying space games and Child of Light made me feel like it's ok to release my inner princess, hahaha.

 

I'm a business marketing/management major at the University of Michigan and all you kids whining about the lack of quality with the GWG program for Xbox One have no idea what you're talking about. The X1 just came out and people need games so they're willing
to pay full price for them. The 360 has been out since 2005 and has a vast library of games, the X1 does not. It virtually comes down to simple economics and supply and demand.

I guess the only thing I can say about seeing these threads pop up all the time is it's interesting no one really mentions or harps on the things that are actually upsetting. Like the one that takes longer to load up then it does to download and the achievements
are glitched and unobtainable.

It's hard to take anyone seriously when they don't mention things like that. An opinion is just that so it's cool but seriously, I wish more people had solutions and suggestions as to what would make it better than the age old blanket statements.

Ill agree some things could use some improvement but it's easier to convey that factually and be heard than to say things like "because" or to argue the details that don't necessarily pertain to GwG. They weren't even offering up games for free for awhile
and they are now so it's a step in the right direction.

It'll get there.

 

Ya I cant believe people complain about crap games. Its absurd, I mean just shutup and take it as its shoved down your throat. Here, nobody bought this crap, lets give it away for free. Sweet, free crap. Now let's go to the dump, I need a new mattress.
