    Why do some updates seem slower than others?


    It seems some apps/games update faster than others.

    For example:

    Games like roblox can go from 10-40mb download speed.

    While another game like multiversus goes around 5-10mb.

    And the microsoft store takes forever.

    Does this depend on how the required files are packed by the devs?

    Are there some settings I could change?

    I already know that no other apps are open as of writing this.

    This really depends on where are stored the games and apps. I mean, on what server.
    But this also depends on where are you physically located and where are located your ISP servers

    Sometimes using a custom DNS address improves the speed, if you want try that:

    Xbox:
    go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

    Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.
    When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

    Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.

    If that doesn't work use 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary

    Yes, I've noticed it's a lot slower than using your pc or laptop. And I've also noticed that some videos are slower than others depending on how old they are.

    Played for a few hours last night after update and saw no issues.....other than a migrating host screen that was a bit weird and slower than usual.
