Why do some games not have a save function?

we have been playing “Army of Two” quite a few times and we make it past so many missions but there is no option to save the game. So when you turn it back on the next day you have to start all over. Is there something that we can buy or do to enable a save
game option?? Is it because we bought the game on the Xbox and that we don’t have the physical disc? We have Xbox 360 and xbox one, this game does not have a save option on either console.

Games do not autosave

Yeah, auto-save is controlled by the game, not the console, and many games do not auto-save (at least not with any regularity), some save all the time. What games have you tried?

Keep in mind, some save games are specifically tied to the console. I have no idea why but some devs think it's a good idea to basically lock you out of your own save if you try to move it. The only way to move those saves and use them is to do a transfer
via the transfer cable.

Certain games (this is the choice of the game's developers) have only an auto-save function. There is nothing that can be done to over-ride this because it is built into the game. Some games are just made this way (for various reasons)

Army of Two features auto-save. The game will save progress at certain intervals and key points throughout the missions. For example, in the very beginning you have to compete the first mission before the autosave will save your progress.

Sometimes there Is a way to "work around" this and get the game to autosave.. One method is going through the menus and changing a setting, gear, weapon, etc. and the game will save then. It really depends on the game.

Ao2 is really one of those kind of games that "punishes" the player for failure. There's no way to change this- it's just how it is.

Just know that you're not doing anything wrong, and the game is functioning as it's supposed to. The autosave is triggered by your progress/completion and if you're not getting to those "checkpoints" it won't save...

Do you have cloud saves enabled? That said, even if you do, I'm not sure why only two of the LEDs are functioning.

Sorry GH but as Danno points out above, some game saves can be transferred to a new account but doing so will disable achievements while using that save.

This is a function built into the console and requires no external means to do.

"They" need some sort of network in order to access a device. A cell network and the internet are functionally the same thing, which is why you can save minutes by connecting to a wireless network.

I do not understand why having several saves even because the game has automatic save and is in the cloud, you are playing on some other console and have trouble resuming where you left off?
