Why do my son have to put his acc as home xbox on every xbox he want to share it to?

My son has gold on his acc and when he is at my place I have one Xbox for my two boys. He has to put his acc as home Xbox on my Xbox then. But when he´s at his moms they have one Xbox each and has to put his acc as home Xbox on his brothers Xbox too. This
is correct so far. But why does he have to go over this every time they come home to mee and every time they come home to their moms? If they don´t his brother dont have benefit of the gold membership.

Hey guys, my son shares his gold account with me on xbox via the option of setting his xbox as my home account. This way we share games too. When he gets his one x, doing all the transfer stuff as described will the home settings also be moved to his new

Confused about giving my son access to the Gold Subscription

Hi. I've got two accounts on the xbox, an adult one (mine) and a child one ( my son). I purchased xbox live subscription but my
son needs me to sign in every time as it won't show that he has it on his.... Is this correct? How do I get the subscription to share? I don't use the xbox for anything I just want the parental controls.

An account will share it's games and gold on the console that is it's home console or the account is logged into. Info on the feature can be found

If your son is at your place he just has to be logged into that console and your other son can play the games and use the gold. The console does not need to be a home console. When he's at his mother's he will need to have his brother's console as his home
for the other son to use the games and gold. How to do that can be found

Ok, so at my Place he only has to be logged in and they both will have acces to gold. When he´s at his moms he have to set his brothers Xbox as home Xbox and when playing on his own Xbox he only have to be logged in on his acc?

 

That is correct. Otherwise his brother would need his own subscription.

There is a limit to how many tomes you can change your Home per year (5) so it's best he only keep one console as his Home.
