Why do my older Call of Duty games look worse on my series X?

I recently got a series x and downloaded Cod BO3.

The game looked pixelated and blurry and I can’t find out why. I adjusted my resolution and maxed out my settings to the best of my ability. My tv has a native resolution of 1920x1080 (HD) so it can’t run 4k. I downloaded Cod Infinite Warfare and the game looks fine. I downloaded Bo1 and Bo2 and got the same graphical problems. Is this a problem with my display or is this Xbox not fully optimizing older games for the series X. What should I do?

Hi,

The now quite old Xbox 360 Call of duty games ran at 720P so they can look blury and pixilated on 1080P display. They can look even worse on a 4K display.

These games were not updated to run at higher resolutions, so what you're seeing is quite normal.

Yes, but I should be able to run Bo3 on HD at least considering it’s an Xbox one game

The game is call of duty modern warfare and it is the Xbox edition, I am trying to download it to my Xbox series X

I have a series x and only on call of duty this is happening but its not just the game freezing or crashing its making my xbox freeze and bug out

For a start. I'm missing 29 games from my Xbox series X ready to install list. A few are borderlands, borderlands 2 and the pre sequel and Call of Duty Modern warfare.
