Why do my microphone just suddently not work?

I were playing games the other day, then suddently my mic just cut out, and now it doesnt work. My microphone only works, when i plug in a controller to my pc, why is it, that my microphone just cut out and now dont work?

In order to assist you properly please answer the following questions:

Is this happening on PC Windows 11 or 10?

Are you able to test another mic/headset with mic to see how it goes?

And, may I know which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this?

In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed.

Okay, I would see as to why they would do that but they just updated it to change the sensitivity of the Kinect's microphone so you wouldn't hear the background so bad. So far I know KI and BF4 along with party chat work with the Kinect's microphone.

My Windows is up to date and everything was fine.

I did play like 3 hours ago and everything was ok then suddently nothing working.

Any lead on anything else ? I can connect online on xbox.com and manage my account etc just fine.
