What's going on when you try to redeem your Xbox Live subscription on your Xbox? Do you get an error message, and if so what is the error? If you haven't already tried, please attempt to redeem your code here on Xbox.com instead of through your console to see
if there's any change.

Error Code: 8016A0FA – Appears when you try to redeem a gold membership card on your account and are unable to do so because you already have the maximum 3 years (36 months) of Xbox LIVE Gold time.

When you get the 2 year mark with your gold subscription time, you will then be able to redeem that code on this account.

Sorry for the issue with your code. So you redeemed a Xbox live code on your phone? When you try and play grand theft auto it wont allow you to? Do you get an error saying you need live? Make sure you are logged onto the same account as you redeemed the
code on.

Check this and please provide any error what site you redeemed code on.
