Why do I seem to loose more and more of my consoles freedoms with every update?

In the grand scheme of things we are all just dollars of reported income to a big company. As they are slowly pushing us into this forced digital download gaming I have noticed a few things that are quite frustrating. A while back ago I noticed that while
I have (used to have) two of the Xbox One consoles, an update was pushed to my console that took away my ability to have my gamertag and games available on both consoles. This really made no sense to me as I bought a separate console to take with me as I travel
for a living. Within this update I was then forced to connect which ever of my consoles was the slave to the internet to allow me to play my content that I have purchased. I dealt with this for a while till just this morning I noticed something magical, I
updated my console while I was traveling and thought nothing of it, after I am home I plug in my console to find that I now have no games available on my console for either the master of the slave gamertag and it is requiring me to connect to the internet
to be able to play anything that I have purchased digitally. Since I live in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma and internet is not an option for me, it seems that I will have no choice but to do away with these consoles all together. Being that I bought all
of this software that I can no longer use on account of Microsoft forcing changes as they see fit for their particular agenda, I have chosen to introduce the now obsolete Xbox One S and the Xbox One X to my second amendment right as they are no good to me
in a place where I do not have Microsoft preferred constant internet connection. I would bet just about anything that this is not something they are going to fix as this is a very well thought out marketing scheme and I have already learned from others mistakes
on similar issues. Lets not mention the countless games that I have purchased digitally on a Microsoft console they they "No longer support".... Kind of their way of saying "Thank you for spending your money with us, but we deemed these games as being of a
specific age and timeline that makes your spent money more or less a kind gesture and less of a purchase as this is something that you can no longer have.". If any one is looking to make an artistic piece out of thousands of tiny pieces of 2 Xbox consoles
and 5 controllers, I can point you to 210 acres of land that has just the thing you need scattered across it.

Unfortunately, the Xbox was set to be the home console. I am wondering if anyone else has powered on their Xbox with no internet connection and seen the same thing. It used to show all of my content and just tell me that I had to sign in with my other
profile to use the content, after this last update, all of my content just quit showing up at all. Either way around, I now do not have to worry about it myself

As far as the games you say are "No longer supported" that's the game devs that decide that. Not Microsoft. If you want to pursue things and file a complaint you would need to contact the game developers directly.

I share a similiar sentiment. My stepson and I used to be able to play together since he lives 2000 mi away I bought him an xbox one s, now with this new update we can’t play at all .

As the other responses have said, you need to make sure your console is set as your home console, it can then share all of it’s games and memberships with every other profile on the console. We didn’t have the ability to do this back on the OG Xbox or
360, nor was accessing your games, saves, and content on any console on earth just by signing in so simple. I understand the sentiment, but I have to respectfully disagree, I’ve had the exact opposite experience. I moved from Canada to the UK, and didn’t have
to worry about moving over 500 physical games on disc being potentially lost, and now when I travel I can just sign in on an Xbox at my destination, and all my games, saves, and memberships have come with me. Not to mention the fact that GamePass ultimate
has given me more games than I could’ve dreamed of having access to as a kid, for less than the full price of 2 games. Having an internet connection isn’t being a slave, it allows you access a much larger and greater community than ever before.
