Why do I not have background app permissions for Xbox if my computer is not in S mode

Regarding your question, usually you can go to Settings-Applications-Installed Apps-Find XBOX-Advanced Options-Background App Permissions-Set to Always.





Meanwhile, I have observed that there are a lot of user feedbacks about the same issue, so I suspect that it is an issue with the current application version of XBOX GAME BAR.

You can press WIN+F and take a screenshot to submit the XBOX GAME BAR issue you are experiencing to the development team. We will also keep an eye on things.

1. Open the Xbox Game Bar and navigate to its settings: Check the microphone settings within the Game Bar to ensure it's using the correct microphone and that the microphone access is allowed both in-game and while the Game Bar is running in the background.
   
2. Background App Permissions: Your computer might have certain settings that prevent apps from running in the background or accessing the microphone when they're not in focus. Check your system's privacy settings to ensure that background apps have the necessary permissions.

Where do I go to access Background App Permissions?

I just noticed that this problem is under “known issues” for the current version so it’s being worked on.

But the workaround that is given to change the settings of “Let this app run in the background” to “always”, does not exist in my windows 11. As in, the “Background app permissions” section is not in the advanced options for installed apps. Any idea where this is located in current windows 11, or why it’s not there?

Do you have to do it from the computer or the xbox because on the computer I am not seeing anything of my props or my backgrounds, just the plain backgrounds from xbox. I don't see any of the items that I own. :/
