    Why do i need to update my xbox controller every time i launch my Xbox


    Every time i launch my Xbox my headset has no audio. I disconnect it and reconnect it, I restart my xbox, nothing works. Except, when I update the firmware on my controller my headset works fine. The only catch is that every time I launch my Xbox i have to do this. Why is this? How do I fix it? Yes, my headset works just fine on everything else and I tried to just restart my controller and nothing happened.

    TLDR:
    My headset audio only works when I update the firmware on my controller. I have to do this every time I launch my Xbox. Someone help?

    Why is Xbox Controller Quality so bad ?

    XBOX controller, and especially The Elite, is the best controller on the market. I absolutely do not agree with OP. Clearly you ARE an aggressive player as both my XBOX launch day controller, launch day Elite and XBOX1X launch day controller are all working
    perfectly, and I play for hours every single night.

    After Windows update, Xbox 360 controller stopped working

    So Windows automatically updates and that kills the controller connection every time. Even uninstalling the updates requires several attempts to reconnect the controller, usually resulting in only a few minutes of connectivity. This is a crappy response,
    "uninstall the updates." Especially since the updates are automatic.

    My controller is Xbox One which is Microsoft. So why does the update jack my connection?

    Why can't microsoft account for this?

    I have not tried any other games. I updated my firmware for my controller yesterday. Rocket league and Windows have been updated every time an update comes out. I do not have another PC to test it on. It does work on an xbox
