Why do I need to link a credit card ...

Looking in the support forum , I don't think this is just an issue with games with gold .

In another thread , a dude had more than enough money in his wallet to buy a game , but couldn't complete the transaction without entering a C /card .

I hope this IS a glitch , and Not a new policy being tried out .

There have been 3 threads created in the last 2 days about this , so it is unlikley that it is a user related error.

 

Or could lizard squad have found away into Live and this is how they are getting people's cc details. I probably shouldn't scare people like that lol.

I have just been reading the thread about this in the support forum.

A M/s rep told a caller they wouldn't ask for c c info for a free game with gold .

 

As secure as Live is meant to be, there is alway's that niggling feeling when something doesn't seem right.

 

I'd say it's a glitch. I tried to buy a game with money in my account. The game was €14.99 and I have €16.60 in my account. When I tried to by it, it asked my to add a card even though I already have a card linked.

I cancelled the transaction. I tried to do it a few times and then eventually it let me buy it with the money in my account.
