Why do I need to link a credit card ...

I am not on a months trial gold , this is a full year sub .

If this is the new M/s policy , I won't bother with Gwg .

Why do we need credit card info for a free 360 game? infact, why do we need a credit card at all, i buy xbox money cards and i would purchase more back compatible games if i didnt need a credit card

i dont' have a credit card linked and i downloaded it just fine. but generally it's for ease and convenience. just add it, then remove it.

 

No , just tried after reading your reply ... still wants credit card .

I read in the support section , you can ONLY remove a credit card IF you provide an aternative method of payment .

I only use pre paid vouchers.

 

Shouldn't make a difference. My son downloaded the game and he doesn't have a cc linked.

 

I have just cheked the support forum , 11 other people have posted that they have been asked for cc details.

 

That weird. I'll just go double check with my lad that he did download the game with no problems.

 

Maybe its a glitch in the matrix ...

It didnt ask for cc details for Volgar or worms free games last month .

 

He Hadn't actually downloaded it but I just got him to start the download and it did fine. Hopefully it's a glitch yeah, I certainly won't be adding my card to my son's X1 lol.

 

Can you try to get it on this site here and have it download on your console once you turn it on? That might work.

 

Just been reading in the support forum that this has been happening to people for months .

M/s advise to add Cc ..download game , then remove Cc details . Rather than fix the problem.

I tried it ... had to get a code sent to my mobile .... re sign in ... still wants cc .

I will try hard reset of everything .
