Why do I keep seeing "add security" on Xbox?

Sometimes, I keep seeing "add security" when I start my Xbox 360 and when I cancel that, it signs off. So why is it so important to add security on Xbox 360? Help me :|

Sorry to hear you've been having an issue with your account security. You definitely should only need 2 contact points total.

It sounds like there may be an issue where your account is not recognizing that it already has security proofs. I would contact
Phone Support and work with them to look into your account to try and get things sorted out.

When I log in to my account I am offline, when connecting to live a window pops up that says "add security" and asks if I can recive messages on my phonenumber. When I click, yes this works, it says that the number is already on my account and tells me to
add a new number, email or go through a phonecall. This is where the problem starts... after registrating 3 different emailadresses and 3 different phonenumbers it still continues. What is going on? How much security do I have to go through to get normal access
to my own account?

Actually, I already did the security proof once from Microsoft, but it keep saying to add security on Xbox 360 last time. Why is it so important to add security proof on Xbox 360?

 

The link I provided answers your question fully. But Security adds protection to your account in case someone tries to get into or other malicious activities

 

The link has changed and this is still an occuring problem.

Will I keep having to make a new email account just to be able to play?
