    Why do i have to pay gamepass to play online on borderlands 3 doesent make sense


    I have played borderlands 2 when it was on gmapass in 2017 and now its 2025 and borderlands 3 is now avalible on gamepass but now you have to pay for gamepass to play with others. Why cant it be for everyone who has already baught the game?

    A subscription has always been required to play online multiplayer. Previously it was Gold, now it's Game Pass Core (at least). The only exception is free-to-play games.

    Not really that bothered about borderlands 2. i'm not playing it online as i have no intention of paying more money to do so. it just makes absolutely no sense not to sell more product.

    That doesn't make any sense, if i own the game on disk and have played online long before gamepass why would it require me to own gamepass?
