Why do I have to clear my alternate mac dress every time I try to play my Xbox?

Try clearing local saved data form Xbox then clear MAC address. Might have worked for me

I clear my MAC every single time before I play. And I've reset and deleted my save data, on 3 different Xboxs, an inordinate amount of times, unfortunately.

not sure if you have tried this but try clear your alternate mac address. network settings - advanced settings -alternate mac - clear (xbox will restart)

a lot of people say mac should have nothing to do with it, but i have found through all my years gaming and using the technique provided to me years ago it helps solve alot of network issues.

I play Red dead 2 online and have received the same error message, 0x50000006; it was a problem with Rockstar server.... I receive this error at least once or twice every time I log into play.. if you read the text around it it says that it's a problem
on rockstars end.. I have found it useful to reset my alternate Mac address, to do so you can navigate to settings on your Xbox dashboard then go to network settings,/ advanced settings/ alternate Mac address and then click on clear... this will restart
your Xbox and I hope it's helpful But ultimately I believe this is a rockstar server issue..

Nothing you said is correct, the correct fix is to clear the alternate MAC Address:

Settings -> General -> Network Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Alternate MAC address -> Choose “Clear” from that menu.

Your responses must have waisted so many users’ time. I don’t understand why you all answer questions that you have no idea about. Honestly, do you even know WHY my fix works but yours doesn’t (and rather wastes money/time)?
