Why did You shut down mojang auth?

will never happen, as Microsoft has owned Mojang for years it has taken this long to fully migrate it all to Microsoft's systems, now that is complete, they will never change it back.

Why did they shut it down?

I understand your frustration about this. There are good reasons for why migration happened, and why it was only available for 2 years. Let me explain:

Account migration happened so Mojang's antiquated account system could be shut down and replaced by Microsoft's system, which is more secure and convenient.

However, the old system had to be kept open for players to migrate to their Microsoft accounts. It costs a lot of money and time to keep these older systems running, so migration could only be available for a limited amount of time before the system was shut down.

Mojang sent emails to Minecraft players to remind them to migrate their account, and warned that accounts which weren't migrated would be deleted at the end of the migration period as the account system needed to be closed down. Players who migrated were able to keep their Minecraft licence, but unfortunately anyone who missed the migration period lost their access to Minecraft when the system was shut down.

I am sorry you missed the chance to migrate your account, but I hope this explanation sheds more light as to why this was necessary from a technical standpoint.
