Why did xbox phone support hang up on me twice.

In my frustrated opinion, Xbox tech support is on par with Virgin support. Wholey terrible.

I called Xbox support waiting the 15 minutes while an over-excited American tells me about Halo Wars like its a new thing (to be fair he is enjoyable to listen to).
I get through to tell my problem and give my email address after which I suspiciously lose connection. So I call again and when I get through this poor fellow is having trouble understanding my problem and I'm having trouble understanding him, I get the deep
sense that this will be a waste of my time but fortunately, after I suggest he takes my email to look at the hour-long webchat I had with another 'skilled' engineer (who 1. was mildly infuriating and 2. eventually just told me to send in my Xbox for repairs)
The guy agrees and as soon as he's confirmed my email address hangs up on me.

I understand 3rd or maybe its 4th tier support. And my problem was very nuance. But there has to be an avenue in place where this support person's best choice isn't to just hang up the phone.

They should be asking a good number to contact you back on if the call does get disconnected. If not, I would offer that information to make things go smoother just in case it does happen.
