Why did they make the analog sticks on the Xbox One controller so loose?

Yes, @DuFFuL. I'm still getting used to it, but I love the feel of Xbox One Controller in my hands. So much nicer than the 360 Controller. I like the smaller analog sticks. It's a lot more smoother, but I just got to get used to how loose they are. Once
I do, it'll be perfect. (At least to me.)

Xbox one controller has one flaw

When you compare the xbox one controller to the ps4 controller, the xbox one controller has one flaw.

More of a health and safety problem actually.

The "r3" right analog stick on the xbox one controller takes a bit of force to push it in, alot more force compared to the ps4 controller. ps4 controller right analog stick, you can push it in many times with out any repercussions to your wrists.

When you need too use the r3 analog stick on the xbox one controller to do things repeated in a game , such as go to third person while you are driving a tank. You press r3 in todo that.

 

Next Gen Controller sizes.

I got basketball players hand with long fingers.the 360 controller was nearly perfect for me and i'm slightly dissappointed they made it smaller but i doubt it would make my hands ache like the ps3 controller did after hours of play.hopefully the xbox one
analog stick and d-pad is improved because they were garbage for the 360.i've gone through 4 controllers for the 360 because of their jacked up analog stick.the ps4 controller looks like the right fit for my hands.i'm not a fan of the parallel sticks either
but with the bigger controller i can get use to it.

 

I prefer more resistance on the sticks, it makes it easier to move the sticks slightly, for fps and driving games. When they are this loose its harder to input anything but fully to a side. Just my personal preference.

 

Trust me. Once you do get used to it, I feel it is a huge improvement. I think they knew loosening them up gives way better control and is also good for long gaming sessions. I think all the improvements they made are subtle but the longer you use it, the
more aparent those improvements become.

 

I think this is the best control pad I've used yet. It took a couple of weeks to get used to, but now I am I have no issue aiming with it.

 

My first time handling it I was like omg wtf so skinny lol. It took a few DR3 chapters to really get used to it. I really like the new controller. Now they just need to produce colored controllers.

 

I was getting r@ped in battlefield because of the loose sticks, I was always too far to the left or right, but once you get used to them your thankful for how quickly you can react (in aiming) with such a little movement.

I quite like the sticks, don't really think they're too loose at all.They're easy to move around but have enough resistance to know where you are and that you are actually pushing it around.

If you think these sticks are loose, go pick up a PS3 pad and play around with that for a bit. It's like moving your finger around in water.

 

Ill be happy when they release a white version. I miss my white 360 controllers...

 

I do miss my blue chrome controller( I do visit it sometimes my son has it but it just doesn't feel the same lol)........I hope they have some color ones out soon Though I do like my day one edition lol.

 

I guess we have to wait a while for the stock of original controllers to drop before they start producing specialized ones en mass.

Then why are so many people complaining they can't aim properly in COD?

 

You have to remember that people use the 360 controller for eight years. When your that used to something it will take more than a month or two to get used to the changes. I recently bought a new mouse for my pc after using the old one for five years and
even though I've had the new one for about 4 months it still feels a bit strange to me. It is no different with the xbox controllers.
