Why did my Minecraft world get deleted (and how do I recover it?)

I went on today to play on my 2-plus year old Minecraft world just to find out it was gone and i never deleted it. I tried resetting my xbox, soft-resetting it, deleting the game and re-installing it and nothing has worked! Someone please help as this world means a lot to me and I have many memories attached to it.

    :)

    Hello joshlambert4,

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums. I understand how important your Minecraft World is to you and I'd like to direct you to the proper channels that may be able to assist. Though we do not have access to assisting with recovery, please view Managing Data and Game Storage in Minecraft for a list of troubleshooting steps on how to manage data.

Additionally, if you have recently run any updates or are expecting an update for Minecraft, please view: Caves & Cliffs Part II: Upgrading Existing Worlds for possible solutions.

    Thank you,

    Minecraft Deleted World

I'm really sorry to inform you that you unfortunately cannot yet recover deleted worlds. There is an article here you can read: https://primagames.com/tips/what-do-when-your-minecraft-world-gets-deleted

Primarily, it states: "At time of writing, the modern version of

    Minecraft
(Bedrock Edition 1.14.60.5, released on April 15th, 2020) doesn't have any options for recovering a world that's been deleted outright, since the game stores its files locally."

Even though 1.16 (Nether Update) just came out the other day, we still do not have a recovery feature. The only way to download deleted worlds is if the world was also hosted on a "Realm".

If you do have the world on a Realm, you can download the world file at any time by navigating through the menu as such:

Play > Realm > Edit [REALM NAME] > Download World

I hope this helps! If it makes you feel any better, I remember losing my first Minecraft world back in 2012 on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Tough times and heavy days my friend, you will get through this and make an even better world, I'm sure of it!

How to get deleted minecraft world back

What version of Minecraft are you running, and how was the world deleted? That will greatly impact if it's possible, and if so, how to recover the world. Is this on Xbox One or another platform? And if on Xbox One, is it the Xbox One Edition or Bedrock
edition? It is quite possible, likely even, that the world is not recoverable, and for that I'm sorry, but depending there might be an opportunity to recover it.

How to recover deleted minecraft world

Hello, how are you? My name is Mateus. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. If the world has been deleted, unfortunately, it will not be possible to retrieve it. Anyway, in some cases the solution below can help some people, I hope that is your case.

This only works on Windows. I don't know how to do it on any other PC (or edition).

Go to your start menu and search run. Alternatively, you can press the Windows button + R.

    Type "%appdata%" then press OK.

Go into your .minecraft folder, then your saves folder, then (if you remember the name of your deleted world) copypaste the world folder into the same saves folder.

Go back into Minecraft and play your recovered Minecraft world.

    - If that doesn't solve the problem, I suggest you contact Minecraft support and see if they can help you get your world back. To contact them please use the instructions below, please.

*Thank you in advance for contacting the community, I hope this can help you.
