Why did I use the code for a twitch minecraft cape and they didn’t give it?

Just so you're aware, at the moment, the cape will only be visible in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, and it will be reflected in Minecraft Java Edition until July 8th, as you can confirm for yourself through the following link:

If you're also unable to see the cape in Minecraft Bedrock Edition as you mentioned, please try to synchronize the licenses on your account in your Xbox app, Microsoft Store, and Minecraft Launcher by following these steps:

1. Sign out of the Microsoft Store, Xbox app, and Minecraft Launcher.

2. Reset the three apps by performing the following:

- Press the Windows key + I on your keyboard to open the Windows settings and click on "Apps".

- Look for the app called "Xbox", select it, then click on "Advanced options", and then "Reset". Confirm the process. Repeat the same for the app called "Microsoft Store" and for "Minecraft Launcher".

3. Restart your PC.

4. Sign in again to the three apps using the same account that was used to redeem the code.

Also, check that you are signing in with the correct Microsoft account that originally redeemed the code, as there is a possibility that you are using a different one.

I understand that you are experiencing issues getting the TikTok cape you redeemed on your Minecraft account.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Kindly double-check that you're logged into the same Microsoft account where you redeemed the codes. If incase you're using a different account in the Launcher, the capes won't appear.

Please make sure as well that you're using the correct edition of Minecraft. The TikTok and Twitch capes are currently available for the Bedrock Edition, with availability for the Java Edition expected later.

And to give you a heads up, it can take up to 72 hours for redeemed capes to appear in the Minecraft Launcher. This delayed is caused by server-side processing.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. As stated on the Minecraft website, the Twitch cape is only available for Bedrock players at this time. It will be available in Java Edition by July 8.
