I 'upgraded' to the Xbox One version yesterday for $4.99 on my account, and then when my boyfriend came home from work and tried to play it while signed into his account, it was still asking him to purchase it. He did pay the $4.99 upgrade so that he could
play it. My question is that why do we each have to pay to play the same game on the same console, just on different accounts? I'm really angry about this, and I want to know if I could possibly get my money back somehow. I know these are just community forums,
but does anyone know how I could email Microsoft about this? Whenever I try the support areas of Xbox One, they want me to do a live chat with someone and wait 15+ minutes to talk to them, and I do not have time to sit at my computer to talk to someone about
something so ridiculous.

Uh, you'll still have to buy it twice if you are playing on different boxes. Two boxes can't play a single game at the same time. So, not great news at all.

As far as sharing content across profiles, make sure your console is set to be your Home console.

If you purchased Minecraft on Xbox, you will need to purchase another version on PC, as the game is not Xbox Play Anywhere.

Completely understand why you would not want to create a new character, but unfortunately the two different platforms do not transfer across one another. Minecraft needs to set up a "cross save" feature to accomplish this.

But I did not understand exact your situation. You purchased Minecraft for Windows on one account but actually was playing it on a different account that you own?
