Why did I get suspended?

I messaged something to my friend Vorkal Gaming that was a little offensive as a joke and he did not get offended. He reported it as a joke and my account got communication banned how can I get this fixed

Hi i wanted to know why did i get ban if all i did was sell a car in the auction house and someone bought it and got i banned i did everything the game permits and did not break any rules.I also did not disobey code of conduct.

You can try submitting a case review at http://enforcement.xbox.com however, even though your friend was not offended and reported it as a joke, if it violated the code of conduct that is why you were suspended.

I’m sorry but i don’t think there is really anything you can do about it.

Even though you got reported as a joke, the message must have violated microsofts code of conduct.

I’m afraid you’re just gonna have to sit this one out. It’s only temporarily.

 

This particular activity seems to be recently getting a lot of more attention, so for everyone's benefit please continue to pass this around. Rude and offensive even just a "little" has the potential to get you issued a ban for breaking Microsoft's ToS.
Friends who jokingly report things or report offensive behavior can get anyone banned. There is no distinction made. So understand if you put something that is reportable ANYONE has the opportunity to get your account banned whether they are your friends
even. And as for being a friend, don't jokingly report your buddy for something unless you do really mean it, because you can serve him a nice ban just for messing around.

 

Xbox live enforcment policies are ridiculous. Adults play on the xbox mostly, if there were children playing then we hold back on rude language.

 

Well many children do play on the Xbox, and with ToS Microsoft must give in to the lowest common denominator. Therefore the enforcement policies do seem stricter than most adults would like. But bullying, harrassment, etc. do occur even to adults, i have
seen it. The enforcement policies are there for that reason as well.
