    Why did Microsoft charge me $74.98 for a year subscription of Gold, instead of the $59.99 my billing cycle shown i would be charged?

    xbox gold membership, charged 59.99 again? It has not been 12 months.

    I was looking at a game that said 4.99, for sale, on the xbox 360 (dark souls.)

    When I went to buy it, it said 19.99 suddenly. This puzzled me, so I went here.

    Upon going here, when logging in on this site it brings me to

    Xbox gold membership, annual, 59.99

    So I assumed mine had ran out, then clicked it. However, I look in past transactions

    and I paid 59.99 in MAY, of 2013. It said that would run out in JUNE, of 2014. Yet I had

    to pay 59.99 NOW?

    Why Was I charged 59.99 again?

    How do I get a refund?

    Annoying!

    So I am a gold member on my Xbox 360. And this has a happened in the past, my mother has gotten randomly charged the 59.99 a couple times within on year! Which is wrong cause you pay 59.99 a year for the gold membership. My membership is up at the end
    of the year around Christmas and that's when we get charged. But we got charged about a week ago and what's odd, is that now I can't play on Xbox live cause it says I don't have any membership even though we just got charged!!!! Please help!!!!

    What country do you live in? The standard rate for Xbox Live Gold is $59.99USD/year. Here in Canada it's $69.99CAD.

    What country do you live in? The standard rate for Xbox Live Gold is $59.99USD/year. Here in Canada it's $69.99CAD.

    12month subscription - $59.99/$5month?

    Well it says both on the Xbox Dashboard and on the site here under Upgrade in "My Account" the three subscription options:

    - the one month of Gold = $9.99

    - the three month of Gold = $29.99 / $8.99 per month

    - the one year of Gold = $59.99 / $5 per month

    I checked the info on it but it doesn't mention anything about the monthly fee instead of the full price on purchase which is why I'm confused why it says it's $5 a month for the $59.99 payment for one year of Gold subscription. Doesn't tell me if it will
    just charge $5 monthly for a full year or not.

    They took the 59.99 out when I did it. This is what they did and I know why they did it. The problem is it is wrong.

    In 2010 of January or February I signed up for one year. The money was then taken out of my account. After the 1 year was up I never renewed. Microsoft automatically renewed me with my credit card no longer valid so they didn't allow me the service anymore.

    Here is the part that is wrong. Why are they charging me a year subscription on my account when I never received a years worth of Xbox Live Gold. I already paid for my previous year and the money was taken from my account and given to Microsoft in 2010.
    In 2011 I never received Gold, but because of the auto renewal I got charged for a year they I am not allowed to play.

    Answer me this.....

    If I don't receive the service how can I owe someone money?

    It would be like me paying Microsoft to fix my car. If you don't fix my car how are you going to charge me 59.99 when I never received your service.

    I am frustrated that I canceled my subscription last year~ and was charged again this year for XBOX Gold~ $59.99! I don't even have an XBOX! And I cannot get a hold of anyone! I request a refund!
