    Why did I get a DLC achievement when I do not own any DLC? (Ryse)


    Decided to try multiplayer on Ryse for the first time today and the first game I play with someone else I earned the "You shall put no other gods before me" achievement, which is a DLC achievement, but I have yet to purchase any DLC o.o Has this happened
    to anyone else?

    Why did I wait

    I am hoping to pick up Ryse in a few weeks. As of now i only have Foraz and AC 4. I am loving XB1. Dont regret getting it at all. Forza is great. I am going after acheviments at the moment.

    Hey, what games do other games do you have? I suggest Dead Rising 3 and Ryse if you haven't gotten these two. I also have battlefield 4. How's the xbox one experience doing so far for you?

    That's how Ryse rolls, it allows you to play DLC and earn Cheevos if the other player has the DLC and you don't, brilliant isn't it! Shame more companies don't do it. So to answer yes it happened to me.

    I agree, that is a great feature for gamers to be able to play a DLC without buying it. But I'm surprised a developer would allow this as it's basically handicapping their potential sales.

    I thought the same, but I don't think it's a "glitch" as such, I have played the DLC many times with a mate of mine and popped all the Cheevos from the first DLC. I was surprysed!

    I don't think it's futuristic or anything it's just this developer didn't act a maggot.

    This could have been done when achievements and DLC first met each other.

    ^^ What if the DLC is single-player only?

    I don't think it's too much to ask of people that if they want to play on a specific map, you have to buy that map first. Crytek/MS are just being extremely generous in this instance.

    ^^ Super generous because like Swordy said they are handicapping sales.

    If it's single player only then you should have to buy it I suppose.

    At least it stops all the don't have the same content issues when playing MP, plus it's only two player MP, it's not like they would gets loads of people running round on a freebie. Still pretty generous!
