Why did I buy this

I'm not really into Indie games and stuff. The only things that interest me are: Driveclub, LBP3, the order and Infamous first light unless I'm forgetting something off the top of my head.

 

I dunno really what all is coming out...I just know I read somewhere a list of stuff and I counted and it was around that number.

I dunno....I mean.....I guess coming from PC I don't mind indy games...but I dunno....I just don't feel many ppl give them their credit....or they give them waaaaaay too much credit.

 

I think Indie games are great but not what I buy a console for. They are great gap fillers and will lead to awesome new features in AAA games later on since they take more risks on new ideas.

I really liked Stick it to the Man on my PS4 but once finished (approx 3hrs to complete) I will never touch it again. Great to get for free on PS+ but that's about it.

No Mans Sky on the other hand... wow!!

 

I know right...that game looks crazy.

Only indy game that is probably a system seller.

No Mans Sky look's brilliant. I was pretty happy when I saw it was a timed exclusive and it will come to the X1 eventually. Like already said though, its only 4 guy's working on it, so it will take time. Same if it need's updated, it'll take them a while
to release them.

 

It pays to do some research.

Idk if PS4 has a higher TFLOPS rating. Xbox 1 is much more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3. It has good games, exclusives, Xbox Live, and a company I like, and peps who you would not meet if you were not on Xbox Live. M also goes to great lengths to protect
your online security. Many pages have a padlock and green highlighted address bar, and security proofs.

i have both consoles and i enjoy my xbox one. you really cant tell the difference in games unless you compare them side by side.microsoft is releasing an update that allows devs to use more of the gpu power. the console is good, if you dont like it, sorry
you feel that way. the console will continue to get monthly updates making it better and better

 

Power is one thing but content is king. Gaming is a form of entertainment and I buy my systems based on which ones provide me with what I enjoy the most.

Yes I currently have both new consoles but that is only temporary now that E3 has passed. I just like to be an informed gamer and have a decent amount of time with each system. E3 showed that I will be gaming most on X1 so will sell the other off now and
maybe pick one up again in a year or 2 when Uncharted comes out.

So yeah don't buy a console purely based on specs is my advice. Do some research into the games present and future and go from there.

 

I own BF4 on both Xbox One and PS4, and I can tell you there's not that much of a difference. PS4 may look better, but in my own experience, the frames also drop more because Sony is pushing resolution over everything else.

I still honestly think people are looking way too hard at resolution as the end all be all game seller. A game can be 1080p, cool, but if it has terrible textures, lighting, etc... it will still look bad, resolution isn't going to change that.

Oh, and yes, AZ is right about the Sony forums. I've been a part of a few arguments there because those extreme fanboys say anything and everything they feel, mostly wrong information that never hit the market. They still sling the DRM policies around as
if they're true. I'm proud to say I don't visit that forum often.

 

@ Sludge Pants - Az is the last person to be talking trash about fanboys and lying....and lets not act like that sort of thing doesn't happen here.

Az flat out lied numerous times....and all those times...I and a couple of others proved him wrong.

He would say "yeah...X1 is outselling PS4 in the UK....PS4 sucks". Yet there were all kinds of reports and articles about how the PS4 was breaking records in sales in the UK and how it was almost DOUBLE the X1 sales.

So....do not act like there aren't fanboys who lie or exaggerate on these boards....it's literally all I do here....is call out the b.s.

 

ICN3D, although I'm glad that you fight against the BS, you're doing it wrong. The moderators here don't tolerate liars, so all you have to do is report their post and show how they're lying and the mods will take care of it. There is no need to "call them
out" on it - all that does is make tensions rise between people rise, which is the last thing we need in this community.

 

I don't trust the mods here....I've been a part of these forums for a while....I just don't.

I didn't know they would delete posts or whatever that are straight up lies....but I'll report them from now on....but I'm still going to call it out...until I see it being handled.

For now, I'll do both....and if they do actually handle it...then I'll just report it and then I can go back to being a fun loving talking about games and just general shinanigans type of guy.

But again....I just don't see it happening....I mean...it doesn't take a genius to skim the forums here and there and see a post that is an outright lie. Yet...his posts never got deleted or anything....and those are usually in pretty big argument threads....so
it's a good chance a mod at least saw it.
