I had recently downloaded an update (probably as I had requested to change my dashboard back to the original version) and when the update finished every single app and game had been uninstalled, why? 1308326456

gamer tag randomly changed. I cannot change it back.

Yesterday myself and my friend were playing co-op on COD Ghosts. He signed in and we played and everything was fine. Today I get on my xbox one and my xbox one recognizes me and everything. but now the gamer tag associated with my account is not my gamer
tag. I attempted to change it back to the original gamer tag. the xbox one will not allow me to change my new gamer tag to the original.

Xbox Preview Dashboard problem

So both my brother and I have our own xbox ones. He signed onto mine with his gamer tag and invited me to the xbox preview dashboard thing. While on mine, he downloaded everything that he originally downloaded on his for the preview. 6 hours later i got
my invite to join it, so i went to go download the app. When I open the Xbox Preview Dashboard app, it says "Sorry this console has already been registered to a different account."

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

In order to remove the new dashboard, they basically have to factory reset your console which removes everything. You'll have to go through your games and apps section and re-install everything there.

I finally got it to work. I found a youtube video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB66sG6erWo

where a guy shows how to make sure you have the right update and was helpful getting me through this. I did try disk and usb but winzip in windows 8 is confusing. Even though I unzipped and did a unzip to pc, the file was going back to original so that is
why it couldn't work. I did find that once I got the file right, I was able to get into the dashboard to go from there. It made me format my usb in the xbox and download directly through the console hooked to my router. I had to start over as a new user and
do all the setups and additional downloads. Once I was able to sign in to my xbox live account, I was able to re-download the optional media update to be able to play videos/mp4 again. I see a lot of changes to the dashboard so maybe an old original xbox360
like mine without hard drive had to start over to be able to get all the changes.

Oh wow, Okay. I figured it out. My PCs region was changed to New Zealand somehow. So that's why it was screwed up on the game and not xbox one. This is also why my game on PC couldn't verify that I am who I am I am guessing so it wouldn't allow me to download
the DLC on PC and why it did allow me to download it on Xbox One.

Why my region changed. Literally not a clue.

After playing Destiny, I got off my Xbox 360 console. When I got back on, it told me that my account couldn't connect to Xbox Live and suggested me to re-download the account. But once I did, it changed my Gamertag and I can't change it back without paying
$10! Can anyone tell me why?

I have no sound when i play my games, others can hear me talk and i cant hear them. I get sound when i am at the dashboard making selections...wtf???

ive had this problem as well on my xbox. I did a full shutdown of the xbox and unplugged everything in the back for 20 minutes. Seems to hard reset everything and my xbox goes back to normal. See if that works for you too.
