Why delete my post?

Freedom of speech does not allow you to say what you want, when and where you want to say it.

You could not for instance go into a church at midnight mass and start expounding about how there is no God. You would however be free, providing you were not causing a disturbance, to say your piece on public property outside of that church.

It is the same in this case where the forum is the digital 'property' of Microsoft. While inside you must abide by their rules, you are free however to say other things outside of the forum.

Your freedom of speech does not over-ride the rights of others, even large corporations.

@ COD,

The CUL has been fixed recently, before it seemed to change randomly so I believe now everyone has the CUL that they had before the problems with the forum.

They fixed it, I was 9 after the forum update and have gone back to 4 which is one level higher then before the update. U do get an email with the reason for removal, it's usually obscure tho.

Thanks for the update guys. Well I was a 5 before the update and a 9 after and now back to five. Jesus Christ, not even a little bump up to 5 or even 6? I have been very very active since the last forum "update".

At a certain level you will need to be bumped by moderator.

The CUL was broken after update. It is fixed now.

I was going to respond to that thread but I figured it would get deleted. It was just another Kinect thread I agree with you, but we don't need dozens of Kinect threads.

Only thing that they could possibly claim would be the following.

Please use your better judgment when posting things. Do not reference controversial topics or world events. If you have to start your post with “I’m not trying to offend anyone but” take a second look at the post before deciding if it’s needed to get your
point across.

But the "controversial topic" if you want to call it that was related to the Xbox One hardware. I can't say what as doing so would break another rule.

What I don't understand is that an Ambassador actually replied back to me with some answers. Then hours later the thread is deleted. Not locked, but deleted. I see other topics locked on a similar topic, but not outright removed.

Just a bit annoyed as I was not slamming MS or the Xbox in any way. I support them a lot with my money and time hosting a podcast for the last 8 plus years. So this stings a bit when you can't ask a question that concerns an Xbox fan.

I'd wager it has something to do with deliberately misleading people with opinion presented as fact with no evidence to back it up.

I hate it when people do that, lying to me through song is another that gets me.

That was simply an example, as I said I never saw your deleted thread.

Unfortunately many people on the forum are unable to 'restrain their brand loyalty' and as such even the slightest negative thought can be considered to be a horrible insult.

Silly I know but Microsoft have always taken the heavy handed approach for their forum.

Disregard. I did get an email. I guess MS does not want any talk about anything negative. Well, then you guys should delete the rest of your forums. WOW. and to think I have supported this console with a podcast for so many years. Thanks guys for not
allowing an adult conversation. I will be sure to share this Gestapo reaction on our next show.
