Why can't you just plug your headset into the USB outlets on your XboxOne console?

The chat adapter was really meant for headsets to plug into the chat adapter and get game audio and chat audio from the controller. The ability for it to make headsets designed for the 360 compatible was just one of it's features for people that already
spent money on a console gaming headset.

From the looks of it the cable coming out form the headset is a 3.5mm 4 pole TRRS jack so with the chat adapter you could plug them directly into the chat adapter and get game and chat audio through the controller without even having to use the inline amplifier.
If you want to use the inline amplifier all you would need to to is plug in the chat adapters 3.5mm TRRS to 2.5mm adapter and then just plug the 360 talk back cable into that and your good to go.

Might be wrong that's the way it looks just looking at the manual for it and how it shows to connect it to the PS4 by just plugging it into the Dual Shock 4 controller.

If you hear a tone and the headset’s power light rapidly flickers orange and white, it means you have cleared the headset’s pairing info and not triggered a hard reset.

To perform a hard reset of the headset:

Plug the USB-C cable into the headset and position yourself next to your console, Windows 10/11 device, or a power outlet with a USB connection (do not plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the console, PC, or outlet yet).

Hold down the headset’s power button and the mute button simultaneously (both buttons are located on the left earcup), and then quickly plug the USB-C cable into your console, PC, or outlet.

If the hard reset is successful, the headset should power off.

Turn the headset back on. (If you continue to hold down the power button throughout the hard reset process, the headset will power off and then power back on.)

This issue can be corrected if you try to perform a hard reset to the headset:

1. Plug the USB-C cable into the headset and position yourself next to your console, Windows 10 device, or a power outlet with a USB connection (do not plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the console, PC, or outlet yet).
   
2. Hold down the headset’s power button and the mute button simultaneously (both buttons are located on the left earcup), and then quickly plug the USB-C cable into your console, PC, or outlet.
   
3. If the hard reset is successful, the headset should power off.
   
4. Turn the headset back on. (If you continue to hold down the power button throughout the hard reset process, the headset will power off and then power back on.)

Check if in the ''audio mixer'' the middle bar is not completely to one side, leave the bar in the middle. If that's not the problem, try hard resetting your headset.
