    Why can't you delete payment option through the console? Seems Shady


    As I said, seems like they just want to make it hard to remove the payment option in some sort of shady/lame bid to keep more people on auto renew. EVERY other subscription I have had to ANYTHING has had the option to NOT auto renew readily available. I'm
    extremely irritated by this just wasted half hour getting around this stupid/dishonest policy. Xbox you owe me

    Why can't you delete payment option through the console? Seems Shady

    as far as i know you can remove any payment Instrument - as Long as it is not connected to running subscription

    Are you getting through Xbox.com? The site hasn't been updates so you need a payment option to pay through the site. You need to buy through your console if you don't have a valid payment option. Try getting the DLC through your console.

    Not sure why I would want to spend the money to have this console repaired after a requried update caused it to fail? If I am going to have to spend 30 to 50% of a new unit, wouldn't it make more sense to buy new?

    Forcing an upgrade that causes a box to fail then requiring payment for that repair seems pretty shady to me.

    Or perhaps a change platforms is a better idea. the Wii seems to have some nice features....

    This is still an issue. I've been trying to buy Microsoft Points as well unsuccessful online and through XBox console with the same experience. 2 valid CCs and a valid PayPal account. XBox console says "Can't authorize the selected payment option. Please
    select a different payment option or add a new one." The website says "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option."

    Update: it appears the option to use PayPal was removed from xbox.com, but not the console. Hopefully my payment goes through.

    Edit: It went through. I'd like to know why the options to use it have been completely removed from xbox.com though.
