Why can't we sign into the app with another ID?

My PC account is a different account to my Xbox account because the Xbox account ID address was actually a tesco.net email address. That tesco.net email address does not actually exist anymore and cannot be emailed which is why I have another live.co.uk
account which holds my PC account, email account and office subscription. However, now I want to use the Xbox app on Windows and I can't because it is forcing me to use the PC account instead of the Xbox account. Why do we have to be forced to use one account?
Is there any option to merge accounts? If merging isn't possible then we need to be able to sign in with a different account on the app because at the moment I'm suffering a degraded Windows experience.

mixer.com sign in

why can I not sign in on mixer.com with my MS log in? I get an error every time. I can log into the app with no problem, but you can't edit your profile from the app.

 

Xbox Beta App

I was wondering how to sign out if my Xbox BETA app. I need to sign out of it and sign into it again with another account, but I can't figure out how because I'm a skrub.

The Xbox app supports signing in with a different account than what you use to sign into Windows. If you open the Xbox App, go into settings, and hit "Sign Out," the next time you launch the app, you'll be greeted with a popup screen that says "Welcome back."
On that page, there will be a small link present that says "Sign in with a different Microsoft account." If you still have the Tesco.net signin information, you should be able to sign in with it.
