Why can't we have cross save between PC and XBOX?

Xbox has a lot of security to prevent hacking allowing pc to be cross-play with all game will allow Xbox gamers to benefit from hackers or complain about hackers.

It would be great if that was the case, I didn't realise when I started Outer Worlds on my PC while i was away with the intent of continuing it on my Xbox after i got back from my trip which obviously didn't work out as planned, but I do understand why
there are limitations to this sort of thing better after returning from my trip and reading up on it

I agree. It’s a shame more games don’t have cross save. I play on Xbox on an evening but often have a quick blast on my laptop at lunchtime at work. I tend to play different games at lunchtime if the game doesn’t share the save.

It's something I really want more of it is only the anywhere titles that do it. I used it for LoTR mordor and my son uses it with ARK I think. It would make a big difference for my boys as they switch between PC and xbox constantly and I've lots of games
that I have on both the pc and xbox
