Why can't we download

Just wondering if anyone knows why we can't download movies into the Xbox one . Not asking about the movies and TV app, I gave up on that a long time ago, but Netflix, Vudu, etc all give me the same response, they can't allow us to download movies because
of restrictions placed on them by Microsoft.

So that's it, why ?

Why can't we upgrade

I mean why can't us regular Xbox one players upgrade to the next version of the Xbox the person has already like iPhone like let's I got a Xbox one why can't the next year I upgrade to Xbox one s like iPhone is u have iPhone 6 then next year u got a iPhone

Suggestions, such as this, should be posted
here on the feedback site where the right people will see it.

 

Netflix is a streaming service and only allows download of some of there content on mobile devices so that people don't eat up there data plan or they are going to be somewhere with limited internet say an aircraft, a Xbox will normally always be on a home
network and so you don't need to download them.

 

Netflix and what not are region specific so if you are using a vpn or say you are in the US but you are in Japan (us bases don't count).

Then that's why you have to match your account region with your actual region

 

I don't know if Microsoft has ever stated an actual reason for that. I would guess part of the reason would be due to the fact that they would probably want you to download the movies through Microsoft itself.
